Despite being super powerful, Percy confronts his fears and learns valuable lessons about friendship and self acceptance as the story progresses.
The Lighting Theif is not only a very entertaining book series, it also provides the reading a great introduction of Greek Mythology. The author blends creative elements with Greek mythology to forge one of the best fantasy series ever.
